It all started in 2013, when a group of volunteers created a VK group and began posting ads about homeless animals that needed help. Volunteers took the animals into their homes for temporary care and provided them with the necessary medical care.
At the end of 2015, the Naro-Fominsk city administration allocated a building within the city limits and this marked the beginning of the development of a full-fledged shelter. By the end of 2018, there were already 80 dogs and 50 cats under the protection of volunteers.
Later, the shelter needed a larger place and moved to a village near Naro-Fominsk. Now, the wordpress web design agency Bereginya center houses 250 dogs, 50 cats, as well as horses, chickens, pigs, and recently even an owl.
Giving love is not difficult
At Berigin, we are very happy to see those who come to meet the little tails and spend time with them. At the end of September 2022, the Perfluence team visited the shelter. Perfluence Operations Director Evgeniya Kazakova has been familiar with the animal assistance center for 4 years, by the way, it was from there that she took her pet - a cat. When we suggested that the team go to the shelter, we received a great response - many supported the initiative and agreed to help in any way they could. Someone brought food and bowls, someone brought blankets, and someone just went to meet the residents of the shelter and spend time with them in peace and love.
The musical group "Aria" is also familiar with the shelter. First, Sergey Konstantinovich Mavrin took part in a photo shoot for a calendar with animals and was very touched by the donkey Mikhail. And then guitarists and soloists of "Aria" began to come to the center, who helped with collecting funds for the construction of the stable. The musicians still regularly maintain contact with the shelter.
“We all became attached to each other”
– Veronika Smirnova, shelter volunteer.
Anyone can come and visit, but there is one request - no tears. Animals do not need pity, because they are well-fed, live in good conditions and their health is carefully monitored. All they need is love and affection.
Such support and coverage of the shelter's life give a colossal result. Every year more and more people respond and come to help - someone just comes to the animals and gives them their attention, someone helps with money, and someone brings the necessary things.
"Without help and support, there would be no shelter. This forms an idea of what a shelter is and how it works. In addition, we work with the population on the topic of "betrayal" - we go to kindergartens and schools with "lessons of Kindness". We talk about the correct attitude towards animals, which contributes to the development of a fair and humane attitude towards all animals.
Also, any resident can contact us for a consultation and veterinary medical care, we are always open to this and ready to help. We have our own hospital and veterinarian, which helps reduce medical costs"
- Veronika Smirnova, a volunteer at the shelter.
Promotion from Perfluence
The campaign consisted of the fact that for each publication from bloggers on 11.11 we transferred 3 rubles to the Beriginya shelter in Naro-Fominsk. The goal was to make a total of 10 thousand publications, so we immediately stipulated that when the amount collected reaches 8 thousand rubles, we will double the rate per post, which will be accrued to help the shelter.
The results exceeded all expectations:
980 bloggers took part;
15,492 posts were made on this day;
collected 68,925 rubles;
Bloggers were twice as active in taking on new projects on this day.
For comparison: on average, 5-6 thousand publications are created on the platform per day, and last year on November 11, 2021, 6,900 publications were made.
We received such a powerful response that the number of publications made on that day broke the record for three years! And the photos taken in the shelter received a huge number of likes, support and warm words on the official Perfluence account.
